MG+M would like to congratulate attorneys John Manning, Chris Massenburg, Raúl J. Chacón Jr., Max Swetman, Jason Cincilla, Jonathan Tabasky, and David Frohn for being named to the 2019 Best Lawyers in America List.

John Manning is a Partner with MG+M in the firm’s Boston, MA office. He chairs the firm’s Complex Litigation Practice Group, which maintains an active national presence through MG+M’s offices in Boston, MA, Los Angeles, CA, New Orleans, LA, San Francisco, CA, Wilmington, DE, Hattiesburg, MS, Lake Charles, LA, Providence, RI, Walnut Creek, CA, and Miami, FL. John represents dozens of corporations in litigation throughout the country and serves on several clients’ National Trial Teams. As National Coordinating Counsel for multiple products manufacturers, he directs the defense of more than 200,000 asbestos lawsuits pending in all 50 states.

Chris Massenburg is a partner based in MG+M’s New Orleans office. His practice primarily focuses on environmental, toxic tort, products liability, commercial trucking and transportation, premises liability, and construction defects litigation. Chris currently serves on the National Trial Team for multiple clients, and has tried cases in Louisiana, California, Texas, Mississippi, New York, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Maryland, Delaware, Washington and Wyoming. He has defended his clients in numerous cases as lead trial counsel, and has secured multiple zero/defense verdicts by successfully showing juries that his clients did not do anything wrong.

Raúl Chacón Jr. is a partner in MG+M’s Miami office and his practice focuses on a variety of litigation areas, including maritime, personal injury, products liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience as national and local counsel on marine products liability matters and has represented clients from jurisdictions as far north as Canada and throughout the Continental U.S., Hawaii, the Caribbean and South America. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in the state and federal courts of Florida. He is regularly appointed to act as national and local counsel by insurance companies on admiralty and maritime matters.

Max Swetman's practice includes litigation and regulatory compliance counseling concerning a wide range of environmental laws. His litigation practice focuses on the defense of toxic tort, occupational disease, and environmental claims alleging bodily injury and property damage. These include individual claims as well as mass torts. His experience in these areas has covered a wide array of industries and products including numerous chemicals, food production/food poisoning, building and waste materials, industrial manufacturing, and others.

Jason Cincilla is a litigation strategist, litigation manager, and trial lawyer. In 14 years of practice, Jason has helped companies resolve hundreds of high-stakes cases involving products liability, toxic torts, asbestos, insurance coverage, employment, corporate, and complex commercial litigation. He has tried multiple cases to favorable verdicts, and he has successfully argued more than 75 summary judgment motions applying the laws of many different states and multiple foreign countries.

Jonathan Tabasky is a partner with the firm. He has primary responsibility for the management, handling, and defense of litigation brought against many different types of professionals. His clients include architects, attorneys, engineers, real estate brokers, real estate appraisers, and independent insurance adjusters, among others. Since joining the firm, Jon has also been extensively involved in the defense of products liability and toxic tort claims. In this capacity, Jon represents a broad range of companies, including those that manufacture prescription drugs, protective clothing, fittings, heating devices, wire and cable, trucks, aircraft, and turbines. As a result, Jon regularly works with renowned epidemiologists, pathologists, industrial hygienists, pulmonologists, radiologists, economists, and others. Jon also defends products and premises liability cases brought against major retailers.

David Frohn has more than 35 years of jury trial, products liability, and insurance litigation experience, and focuses his practice on the defense of domestic and international manufacturers of consumer and industrial products. David has extensive experience defending claims involving recreational vehicles and boats; personal watercraft; medical equipment, implants and devices; firearms; industrial tools and machinery; refinery and chemical plant process vessels; commercial transportation vehicles; and electromechanical fire cause and origin
