Overview

Lucia Pazos is a Partner at MG+M’s Miami office. The majority of Lucia’s practice involves defending manufacturers and retailers in asbestos-related products liability actions. Lucia also has experience in Employer/Carrier defense of claims filed under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the Defense Base Act, and the Florida Workers’ Compensation Statute.

Before attending law school, Lucia spent two years as a legislative intern with a member of the Florida House of Representatives, and was volunteer staff at Miami-Dade County's Family Law Self-Help Clinic. As a law school research assistant, her efforts on the subjects of international armed conflicts, human rights violations, and election irregularities in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean helped to further broaden her diverse approach to legal education. Already fully conversant in Spanish, Lucia is working toward fluency in Italian as well.

Lucia received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida in 2002 and a Juris Doctor from Florida International University in 2006.
