Overview

Mary Katherine Back is a partner in the San Francisco office of MG+M, where she concentrates her practice on products liability and toxic torts litigation. Mary represents a broad range of clients in asbestos products liability cases in California, including manufacturers, distributors, contractors and premise owners. She is involved with all aspects of litigation, including discovery and depositions, dispositive and pre-trial motions, and trial preparation in addition to settlement and client management.

Prior to joining MG+M, Mary was a senior litigation associate responsible for the management of a significant number of high-profile state and federal asbestos cases on behalf of a Fortune 500 company where she handled all law and motions, key depositions, and settlements.

Mary clerked for the Justices of the Superior Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts immediately upon completion of law school. While in law school, Mary clerked for the Honorable Napoleon A. Jones, Jr. of the U.S. District Court (S.D. Cal) and was also an editorial writer for the nationally published Lawyers Weekly newspaper.

Mary is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of California.
