Jennie Simons is a resident of Saint Louis, Missouri. Prior to joining the firm, she was an Assistant Public Defender for the 20th Judicial Circuit in Fort Myers, Florida. There she effectively defended over 1,000 clients in various areas of criminal trial and post-conviction appellate work to the Second District Court of Appeal.
Jennie graduated cum laude from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2013. While in law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board and Mock Trial Team Jennie received awards as a National Semi-finalist, National Finalist, and National Champion as an oralist and brief writer in Moot Court. Jennie also earned local recognition for her achievement in the Spohrer & Dodd Trial Advocacy Scholarship competition. During law school, Jennie founded and served as President of the Health Law Society and was a teaching assistant for various courses.
Jennie graduated with distinction from the University of Kansas in 2008. She received two bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Sociology. She was a Hilden-Gibson Honors Scholarship nominee and a recipient of the Research Experience Certificate.
Jennie is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Florida, the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois. She is an active member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater St. Louis, the Missouri Bar Association, and the Florida Bar Association.
