Mary Rau leads the Human Resources Department at MG+M and is a member of the Administrative Leadership Team. In this nationally focused role, she works closely with her team on recruiting; diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives; talent management; compensation and benefits; employee relations; and HR policies and procedures. Additionally, Mary collaborates with the chief operating officer and chief legal officer to manage the firm's real estate portfolio and ensure firm initiatives across a variety of platforms are achieved.
Mary is a licensed attorney who parlayed her many years of education into a successful management career. She has more than 15 years managerial experience in roles where her legal and accounting backgrounds allowed her to excel. She is a leader with an established track record of building strong employer/employee relationships, facilitating growth and creating value.
Mary received her JD, and her master’s and bachelor's in accountancy from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and her LLM in taxation from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. She is an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators and Society for Human Resource Management. Mary lives in Chicago and spends her free time traveling, cooking and watching her beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
