Alexander is a native of the Chicago area. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2007 with a B.A. in Marketing. In 2011, he received his J.D. from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. During law school, Alexander took part in an International Law Study Abroad Program in Ireland where he was able to travel to several major European cities. Prior to joining the firm, Alexander was an Assistant Public Defender in St. Clair County, Illinois. While there, he managed a substantial criminal defense docket in the felony division, and was able to gain significant first chair jury trial experience. It was also there that Alexander learned the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Alexander has carried the lessons he has learned to MG+M, where he is a member of the firm’s DEI Partner Committee.
Alexander was the founding Partner of the MG+M Chicago office, with the goal of meeting clients’ needs in Cook County, Illinois, and surrounding areas. Since its inception in 2019, the Chicago office has tripled in size and continues to grow. Alexander concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation, including the defense of toxic torts and personal injury lawsuits. He is also a member of the firm’s maritime and trucking & transportation litigation groups. His clients range from local small businesses to multinational clients. Alexander handles all phases of the litigation process from inception through trial in jurisdictions all over the country.
Alexander is licensed to practice in Illinois, Wisconsin, New York, and New Jersey. He’s also licensed to practice in the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois. Outside of the office, Alexander enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter in Oak Park, Illinois.
