JC is an Associate in MG+M's Irvine office. He graduated with honors from UC: Irvine School of Law in 2017. While attending law school, JC also served as Editor for UC: Irvine’s Law Review and as Editor for UC: Irvine’s Journal of International, Transnational, and Comparative Law. JC authored a paper for the Director of UCI’s Center on Globalization, Law, and Society on harmonizing and finding a compromise between US trademark law and the EU’s geographical indication law in light of the proposed Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership agreement between them.
JC earned the ANSI-accredited Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), denoting proficiency in U.S. private-sector privacy laws and regulations and an understanding of the legal requirements for responsible transfer of sensitive personal data to/from the U.S., the EU, and other jurisdictions.
