Overview

Kat Januszkiewicz is an Associate with the firm’s New York office and focuses her practice on complex civil matters including asbestos litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Kat was an Associate with a boutique litigation firm where she worked on a wide range of general practice matters, including real estate transactions, matrimonial actions, and family law matters. Kat also gained motion practice experience while working a high volume in-house litigation firm for a large commercial automotive insurer.

Prior to attending Brooklyn Law School, Kat was pursuing a Ph.D. in Archaeology and currently holds a B.A. from The George Washington University and M.A. from the University of Chicago. She participated in multiple archaeological excavations in Israel, Jordan, Spain, and Greece. During law school, Kat served as Executive Articles Editor for The Brooklyn Journal of International Law where she published her note and participated in an intensive immigration clinic where she worked with clients to obtain asylum.

Kat speaks fluent Polish and currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their two pugs.
