As a vital part of MG+M’s substantial growth since 2017, Raúl Chacón has been a testament to the firm’s commitment to expanding both geographically and in terms of the new practice experience – maritime litigation – he brings to the Miami office and beyond. Raúl is proud to establish the firm’s presence in Florida and the Southeast and to spread the firm’s diversity initiatives into a new state and territory, as the newest member of MG+M’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
“I am pleased to be a part of MG+M, and look forward to participating on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Coming from Florida, we have a wealth of diverse talent and ethnic heritage that I believe makes the firm an ideal place for clients, attorneys, and staff,” says Raúl.
In addition to serving on the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Raúl has held executive positions for the Cuban American Bar Association, served on its Board of Directors for more than 10 years, and has been and continues to be an active member of CABA, serving on various committees for the organization. In addition to CABA, he is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and holds leadership positions in other voluntary Bar Organizations, such as the League of Prosecutors, where he has served as President, Vice President and Treasurer. As a member of the Florida Bar, he has chaired and currently serves on the boards of the Admiralty Board Certification and Admiralty Law Committees. He is actively involved in speaking engagements, authoring published works, and teaching at the University of Miami School of Law.
