Thomas J. Tarkoff is a partner in the firm’s San Francisco office. Tom is a successful trial attorney who has tried cases in both state and federal court for over 20 years. He has significant experience with the defense of contractors and manufacturers in product liability and mass tort cases, and is routinely retained to defend corporate and individual clients in business and employment litigation.
Tom also regularly serves as outside general counsel for his corporate clients. He advises those clients concerning multiple pre-litigation and litigation issues related to company operations including contract and employment matters. He supervises litigation throughout the country and has been integral in the implementation of claim assessment and risk management strategies.
Tom has lectured on a variety of topics related to trial presentation and products liability. He has served on the Alumni Board of Northwestern University as well as the Alumni Board of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He currently serves on the Parent Advisory Council for the University of Alabama. Tom is licensed to practice in California, Washington, Illinois, and has also been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Tom was named to California Super Lawyers in 2018 and holds an AV “Preeminent” peer-review rating by the Martindale-Hubbell.
