Adam Brownstein is an experienced litigator and insurance professional whose practice focuses on complex insurance coverage, professional liability, financial services, and commercial litigation matters. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in private practice and the insurance industry, Adam represents clients in high-stakes disputes while leveraging a deep understanding of insurance coverage analysis, claims management, and risk mitigation strategies. His unique background as both an attorney and a senior insurance claims professional gives him a practical perspective on evaluating, defending, and resolving complex matters.
Prior to joining MG+M, Adam served as a senior claim advocate at two of the largest insurance brokerages. As part of the brokers’ Professional Liability/Executive Risk claims practices, he advocated on behalf of policyholders in matters involving the following coverages: Directors and Officers Insurance, Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Cyber, Crime, Fiduciary, and variousfinancial institution coverages. In these roles, he counseled clients through all stages of the claims process, analyzed complex coverage issues, assisted in the preparation ofproof of loss submissions, and challenged coverage denials on behalf of insureds. He successfully obtained multiple insurance recoveries exceeding $1 million for clients. Prior to working for the insurance brokers, Adam worked as a claims specialist in a national insurer’s Professional Liability claims department.
Earlier in his career, Adam practiced with several regional and national law firms, representing clients in insurance coverage disputes, commercial litigation, toxic tort and product liability matters, trademark infringement actions, consumer financial services litigation, and mortgage lending disputes. He has extensive experience managing all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, expert witness preparation, mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
Adam began his legal career in Washington DC, where he worked on communications law matters involving the cable, radio, television, and telecommunications industries. His experience included regulatory proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission, transactional work, trademark matters, and corporate formation.
Adam is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey only and is not admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
