Joshua N. Severit is a partner at the firm’s O’Fallon, Illinois, office where his practice focuses on a diverse range of complex litigation areas including toxic tort, products liability, personal injury, and school district liability. He routinely defends clients in all phases of the litigation process from inception through trial in jurisdictions all over the country. In addition, Joshua serves on the national trial team for a major product manufacturer.
Previously, Joshua spent six years with a prominent Madison County defense litigation firm, where he successfully defended a variety of litigated claims in the areas of general liability, contract, personal injury, premises liability, products liability, insurance coverage, commercial trucking, and toxic tort. He gained substantial first chair jury, bench trial, and arbitration experience, personally trying over eight cases to jury verdict in less than six years.
Joshua graduated cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2010. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and was inducted into the National Order of Barristers for his outstanding participation and performance as a student advocate.
Joshua is licensed to practice in Illinois and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. He has been named an Emerging Lawyer in toxic tort defense by Leading Lawyers since 2016. Aside from work, Joshua is an avid practitioner in the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
