As a member of the DEIB Committee, Lucia Pazos believes that her background has helped her immensely in her career. Born in Peru, Lucia moved to the United States as a young child. Being foreign-born and raised in a bilingual household have significantly influenced Lucia’s approach to problem solving and relationship building. “Being able to visualize and communicate across multiple perspectives, and work through potential communication barriers, has played a major role in my career and life in general.” This background has played a major role in developing and incorporating empathy and emotional intelligence when it comes to legal situations.
