MG+M The Law Firm Partner David Hatem and Of Counsel Michael Robertson will speak at the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Annual Convention and Legislative Summit taking place May 18–21 in Washington, D.C.
David will speak on two panels during the conference. At 10:45 a.m. on Monday, May 19, he will present “State of Progressive Design-Build Practice: Insights from Industry Research,” addressing industry perspectives on risk allocation, insurance challenges and project delivery trends. At 4 p.m., he will speak on the “Progressive Design-Build: Impacts and Obstacles” panel, focusing on the evolving legal and risk-related challenges of this delivery method and how design professionals can better navigate contractual complexity and liability concerns.
Michael will join the panel “Artificial Intelligence–News You Can Use: A Survey of AI Tools and Recommended Practices” on Monday, May 19 at 2:30 p.m. The session will provide a practical overview of emerging AI technologies, associated legal risks and recommended practices for responsible implementation in the design and engineering space.
