MG+M Of Counsel Michael Robertson will speak at the American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts 2026 Emerging Leaders Program on Tuesday, March 10.

Michael will co-lead the session, “Contracts and Risk Management.” The discussion will examine how carefully drafted contract provisions allocate risk between parties, minimize exposure for design professionals, and affect the resolution of claims.

Topics will include:

• Allocation of risk between parties
• The legal effect of standard of care and scope of services provisions
• Indemnification, limitation of liability, and consequential damages provisions
• Examples of project claims and how specific contract provisions influenced outcomes

The Emerging Leaders Program is designed for engineers and other design professionals with eight to fifteen years of experience who are developing leadership skills within their firms.
