MG+M The Law Firm is pleased to announce that Partner Howard Goldberg has been selected as a finalist in the Best Mentors category of the 2026 New England Legal Awards, presented by Law.com. The Best Mentors award recognizes senior attorneys who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to developing younger lawyers and preparing the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.
Howard has long championed mentorship and professional development at MG+M. Since 2017, he has led the growth of the firm's National Law Clerk Program, helping transform it into a structured, firm-wide initiative that provides law students with hands-on litigation experience, meaningful training, and one-on-one mentorship. He remains actively involved in the program, mentoring law clerks and associates while helping foster a culture where professional growth and collaboration are shared priorities.
Beyond the National Law Clerk Program, Howard contributes to associate training and development initiatives throughout the year and champions a collaborative environment where professional growth is viewed as a shared responsibility. Many MG+M associates began their careers as law clerks at the firm, reflecting the long-term impact of the mentorship model he has helped build.
"Mentorship is about creating opportunities for others to succeed—and then staying engaged to ensure they do," says Howard. "It requires more than advice; it means providing meaningful work, offering honest feedback, and helping individuals see a clear path forward in their careers."
The New England Legal Awards recognize excellence and achievement among legal professionals throughout the region. Winners will be announced at an award ceremony in the fall.
MG+M congratulates Howard on this well-deserved recognition and thanks him for his continued commitment to developing the firm's future leaders.
