July 15, 2025

Overview

MG+M The Law Firm is proud to announce that our Chairperson and Partner John B. Manning has been invited to join the distinguished faculty of the 2025 Baylor Law Academy of the Advocate at St Andrews, taking place July 27–August 10, 2025 in historic St Andrews, Scotland.

Recognized as one of the finest training grounds for courtroom advocacy, the academy brings together top trial lawyers, prosecutors, judges and advocacy professors to mentor a select group of aspiring trial and appellate advocates. With an intimate student-to-faculty ratio and a curriculum rooted in the enduring traditions of the British Common Law, the program offers a transformative legal experience in a setting rich in legal heritage.

As a faculty member and seasoned litigator, John will bring decades of experience and courtroom excellence to a new generation of legal minds. John leads MG+M’s Complex Litigation Group which works from the firm’s 16 offices in markets across the country. As national coordinating counsel for multiple corporations’ litigation matters, John directs the defense of tens of thousands of cases pending in all 50 states, including in asbestos defense, toxic torts and products liability.

“It is a tremendous honor to be invited to serve as faculty for such an exceptional advocacy training program and to contribute alongside such respected legal educators and practitioners,” says John. “With great enthusiasm, I look forward to working with the dedicated students representing the next generation and future leaders of trial and appellate attorneys in one of the most storied legal settings in the world.”

The Baylor Law Academy of the Advocate at St Andrews is a partnership between Baylor University School of Law and the University of St Andrews. It is approved by the American Bar Association Accreditation Committee.
