Partners Tina Van Dam and Max Swetman to Speak at Perrin Conferences' Cutting-Edge Issues in Asbestos Litigation Conference

Partners Tina Van Dam and Max Swetman are members of MG+M’s asbestos litigation team and will be speakers at this year’s conference. Tina Van Dam is a partner in MG+M’s Irvine, California office and is as an accomplished counselor litigating multiparty matters involving claims related to asbestos, chemical, and other environmental toxins, including silica and talc. Max Swetman is a partner in MG+M’s New Orleans office. His practice includes litigation and regulatory compliance counseling concerning a wide range of environmental laws, focusing on the defense of environmental, toxic tort, and occupational disease claims.

On Monday, March 11 at 11:00 AM, Max will speak on the panel “DNA in the Court Room–The Cutting-Edge of Science and Medicine.” His session will discuss diagnosing and treating asbestos-related diseases, the role of DNA in cancer causation, the challenges and impact of presenting DNA evidence in the court room, and the identification of some key research in progress regarding BAP1.
