Amy Kott focuses her practice on toxic tort and general liability defense. She represents product manufacturers, premises owners, contractors, and other businesses in all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial preparation and settlement.
With more than two decades of litigation experience, Amy develops effective case strategies and delivers successful results in complex civil matters. She has extensive experience drafting and arguing dispositive and discovery motions, taking and defending depositions, managing written discovery, preparing pre-trial filings, and negotiating settlements.
Before joining MG+M The Law Firm, Amy served as of counsel at several San Francisco litigation firms, where she handled toxic tort and general defense matters and was recognized as a go-to legal researcher and writer for complex motions and novel arguments. Earlier in her career, she practiced with national firms handling commercial, securities, employment, environmental, and insurance coverage disputes.
