Overview

Janna Jamil represents corporate clients in complex litigation, with a focus on toxic tort and products liability matters. She assists manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, premises owners, and other business entities through all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, case strategy, settlement evaluation, and trial preparation. Her current practice includes defending clients in silica-related litigation and other high-exposure matters.

Janna brings more than 15 years of litigation experience to her practice. Prior to joining MG+M, she represented employers and management in labor and employment matters involving wage-and-hour class actions, PAGA representative actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and compliance counseling. She has handled matters ranging from pre-litigation investigations through trial preparation and has advised clients on risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational policies. Her experience also includes representing individuals and businesses in a variety of civil litigation and business matters, providing her with a broad perspective when evaluating claims and developing litigation strategy.

Before entering private practice, Janna worked overseas as an advisor in support of the US Department of Defense, where she advised on information security policy and international information-sharing issues. She worked closely with US and foreign government stakeholders on regulatory and security matters and contributed to the development of policy and implementing directives involving complex international and operational considerations. Her diverse professional background, combined with her experience in complex litigation and policy analysis, allows her to approach litigation matters with creativity, strategic insight, and a practical understanding of both legal and operational challenges.
