Robert Lawton focuses his practice on civil defense litigation. He represents businesses and individuals in a variety of civil matters and manages cases from intake through resolution.
Over the course of his career, Robert has handled complex matters involving toxic tort litigation, products liability, premises liability, commercial disputes, and catastrophic injury claims. He has experience in all phases of litigation, from initial investigation through trial. He second-chaired a wrongful death trial that resulted in a defense verdict and has substantial experience taking depositions and drafting pretrial motions.
Robert earned his JD from the University of San Francisco and holds a BS in managerial economics from the University of California, Davis. He volunteers as a scoring attorney for the Santa Cruz County Mock Trial competition.
