Thomas R. Stanton

Tom Stanton brings to MG+M and the DEIB Committee a deep commitment to the idea of “walking in someone else’s shoes.” As a young adult, he lived for two years in central Mexico, where he often went weeks without seeing another English-speaker and wore out many pairs of shoes. It was an experience that, he says, “helped me learn to appreciate people who don’t look, talk or even think like me, or the person I was before I got to know them.” He firmly believes that the most effective advocates do more than know the facts and the law—they appreciate and seek to understand the people involved in a matter. He says, "MG+M is a firm where diversity and inclusion are put into action and people can feel they belong, making for strong teams and effective advocates."
