MG+M The Law Firm is pleased to announce that it has elevated five attorneys to partner, effective Jan. 1, 2021. The new partners and their office locations are Stephanie M. Chesney (Boston), Karina E. Murski (New York City), Shannon M. O’Neil (Boston), Rupa Patel (Walnut Creek, California), and Daniel B. Rousseau (O’Fallon, Illinois).

Chesney has significant experience defending a wide variety of civil cases, focusing specifically in commercial litigation and catastrophic injury. Her experience includes representing clients in diverse business and commercial litigation matters, including employment, general liability, products liability, construction, and premises liability. Chesney also handles professional liability matters in the defense of health care providers and institutions. She received her J.D. from New England School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s College of Maryland.
Murski's practice areas include toxic tort defense and general litigation. She has significant experience representing large corporations and insurance carriers in matters involving toxic tort, products liability, premises liability, public utilities law, labor law, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation. She received her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wyoming.
O’Neil focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, including toxic tort, mass tort, and products liability defense. She has extensive knowledge of asbestos and toxic tort litigation matters in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She received her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Rhode Island College.
Patel has extensive experience representing developers, general contractors, subcontractors, businesses, private parties, and sureties in complex civil litigation, construction claims, products liability actions, and business and corporate legal disputes. She also has served as general counsel and corporate counsel for several construction businesses. She received her J.D. from John F. Kennedy School of Law.
Leader of the firm’s Investigations and Compliance practice group, Rousseau focuses his practice on claims and investigations against educational institutions, including Title IX, corporate and internal investigations and compliance, diversity, inclusion, culture audits, and corporate social responsibility. In addition, he handles matters involving commercial litigation, municipal law, toxic tort, and product liability. He received his J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri.
