August 1, 2022

Overview

MG+M The Law Firm is pleased to announce that Tim Fazio has joined the firm as a partner in our Boston office and Business Litigation Practice. With nearly 20 years of experience, including 10 years previously working at MG+M, Tim advises and defends clients facing complex commercial litigation and sensitive government and internal investigations. He is committed to helping companies find the most effective solutions to minimize any business disturbance and achieve business goals.

“With great enthusiasm, MG+M welcomes Tim to our Commercial Group. We have worked closely and partnered with Tim for well over a decade and have great respect for his vast experience and stellar track record. Tim has forged a well-earned reputation as a CEO or General Counsel's first call,” says MG+M Partner and Chairperson John B. Manning. “Tim’s clients and colleagues especially value his skillful, tenacious approach to business disputes, as well as his professional collegiality. His return further enhances our exemplary commercial litigation capabilities, and adds immense value to our winning workplace environment and our clients’ business interests.”

Tim’s significant experience spans the full spectrum of commercial disputes and litigation, as well as investigations of all kinds. He represents clients in breach of contract litigation and other contract disputes, shareholder disputes, construction litigation and real estate disputes, and noncompete and business interference litigation. He also handles fraud claims, mass disaster products liability matters, direct and derivative shareholder actions, unfair and deceptive trade practices, environmental litigation, federal and state False Claims Act matters, and securities litigation. In civil and criminal government investigations, he has represented clients before the US Department of Justice, Department of Labor, Department of Agriculture, the Defense Contract Audit Agency and multiple state Attorneys General, including Massachusetts, New York and California.

In addition to successfully advocating for clients in litigation and at trial, Tim is skilled in planning strategic alternative paths to avoid litigation and unwanted publicity, while efficiently, discreetly and favorably resolving business disputes and both internal and government investigations. Tim has extensive experience with a variety of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms designed to mitigate the expense, business interruption and uncertainty of litigation—including AAA arbitration, court-assisted mediation programs and private mediation.

Tim previously worked as a partner for an international law firm serving clients in transactional, litigation and regulatory matters and served for two years as the law clerk to US Magistrate Judge Joyce London Alexander Ford in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Tim holds an MBA and JD from Hofstra University and a BA from Hamilton College.
