John B. Manning is a partner with MG+M in Boston, MA. He chairs the firm’s Complex Litigation Group, which maintains an active national presence from its 14 nationwide offices. John represents dozens of corporations in litigation throughout the country and serves on several clients’ National Trial Teams. As National Coordinating Counsel for multiple products manufacturers, he directs all aspects of the defense of more than 200,000 asbestos lawsuits pending in all 50 states.
John concentrates his practice in products liability, toxic torts, asbestos defense, mass torts, litigation management, food liability, professional liability, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, environmental litigation, class actions, intellectual property litigation, and commercial and insurance disputes. He has tried dozens of cases and has extensive experience in appellate practice, alternative dispute resolution, and national litigation management.
John has served as an expert witness regarding issues in asbestos litigation. A frequent speaker and commentator on products liability litigation, he has Co-Chaired Perrin Conferences’ National Asbestos Litigation Conference annually since 2009. In addition, he has coordinated clients’ lobbying efforts in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate to create national asbestos legislation.
