On October 23, 2025, MG+M The Law Firm Partners Christian Gannon, Robert Mancher, and Joel Merchant secured a favorable settlement during trial for a contractor in a New York Labor Law construction case.
The plaintiff, a 45-year-old laborer, was working on the construction of a multi-story residential building in Manhattan. He claimed he suffered traumatic injuries when the coupling of a concrete hose ruptured, causing cement to be sprayed into his eyes and ending his career. The plaintiff sought $2.5 million in damages.
During the two-week trial, MG+M was able to demonstrate through cross-examination and use of job records that the incident did not take place as described by the plaintiff. MG+M’s client was able to resolve the case during trial for $245,000.
The trial success was due to the outstanding efforts of the entire trial team.
