Stephanie Selman is an associate in MG+M's Miami office. She was born in New York City and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She obtained her first law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in the Dominican Republic, where she is also licensed to practice. She then received the Rafael C. Benitez Scholarship to pursue an LLM in US and Transnational Law for Foreign Lawyers at the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida. Upon completion, Stephanie then continued to pursue a Juris Doctor degree which she was conferred in 2016. Her academic honors and memberships include CALI Book Awards in Treaty Interpretation, and social chair for the Miami Law Chapter of FAWL. While at UM, she was also a member of the International Moot Court team that participated in MootMadrid, in Madrid, Spain in 2016. Prior to joining MG+M, she worked at a regional firm defending first and third party property claims as well as complex general liability claims.
Stephanie is admitted to practice in Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
She is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
Stephanie’s areas of practice is civil defense, including the handling of lawsuits involving first and third-party property defense, insurance coverage disputes, products liability, asbestos litigation, and general liability defense litigation.
Stephanie’s outside interests include cooking, traveling, and spending time with her dogs, Thor and Nala.
