Overview

Lindsay Weiss is a seasoned trial lawyer who defends companies in high-stakes asbestos, silica and talcum powder (talc) litigation. As national coordinating counsel for several major cosmetic companies in talc litigation, she leads the development and execution of national defense strategies and manages complex, multi-jurisdictional dockets. She also serves as first-chair trial counsel for a number of companies in talc, asbestos and silica litigation, and has tried cases throughout California and nationally.  

Lindsay has led defense teams and secured jury verdicts in some of the country’s most challenging jurisdictions. She tried the first silica countertop case in California and secured unanimous defense verdicts in the first cosmetic talc jury trials in Chicago and Portland. 

Lindsay has defended many of her clients from their first involvement in litigation through discovery, experts and trials. Her strategic, client-tailored approach is grounded in a wealth of experience handling toxic tort, product liability and general liability cases throughout every stage of civil litigation for companies of all sizes across industries. 

Lindsay is a member of MG+M's national trial team, is certified by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and serves as faculty for MG+M’s Trial Academy, all underscoring her deep commitment to trial excellence.

Experience

  • Served as trial counsel for a major manufacturer in the first silica countertop case to go to trial in California. 

  • Secured a unanimous defense verdict for a talc-powder product manufacturer in the first cosmetic talc trial to proceed to verdict in Chicago. This case marks the second unanimous talc trial defense verdict for both the company and MG+M. 

  • Secured a unanimous defense verdict for a talc-powder product manufacturer in the first cosmetic talc trial to proceed to verdict in Portland, Oregon.
