Mary Tucker leads the development and execution of MG+M's talent acquisition strategy, overseeing attorney and professional staff recruiting across all offices. Working closely with firm leadership, hiring managers, and the Recruiting Committee, Mary manages the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding, while helping to build diverse, high-performing teams. She also oversees the firm's diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives, supporting programs and strategies designed to attract, develop, and retain talent. Since joining MG+M in 2017, Mary has played a significant role in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring candidates across the firm.
Mary has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and talent acquisition, and has worked in the legal industry since 2012. Prior to joining MG+M, she was the human resources and recruiting manager for Curry & Friend, PLC. She a certified senior professional in human resources with a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management from the HR Certification Institute.
Mary is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and chaired the New Orleans chapter's diversity committee. She is active in the Human Rights Campaign, an organization that advocates for LGBTQ+ equality at the local, national, and global levels. Mary also serves on the board of directors for Forum for Equality, a Louisiana-based LGBTQ+ human rights organization. In addition, she participated in Forum for Equality's Equality Means Business initiative, which recognizes Louisiana employers that have adopted comprehensive nondiscrimination policies.
Mary was born and raised in New Orleans, where she is based and supports talent acquisition and DEIB initiatives across all of MG+M's offices. Outside of work, she enjoys Mardi Gras, costume design and creation, and New Orleans' vibrant live music scene.
