An experienced civil litigator who has represented national and regional clients in all aspects of litigation and national litigation management, Amaryah K. Bocchino practices in the firm’s Complex Litigation Practice Group and serves as the firm's managing partner and chief diversity officer. Amaryah maintains an extensive practice which focuses on products and premises liability, toxic tort litigation, and business and commercial disputes. Beyond this work, she serves in a national coordinating counsel role to a product manufacturer facing more than 30,000 asbestos cases, managing and supervising local and trial counsel across the country in defense of the company. She also serves as national coordinating counsel for multiple other smaller product manufacturers. Locally, she is Delaware counsel for a variety of insurance companies and local businesses in a wide variety of areas of litigation including employment, contract, bankruptcy, insurance, professional liability, environmental, and construction.
In her role as managing partner, Amaryah provides key leadership and coordination to ensure that the firm's national clients receive optimal, efficient and coordinated legal services. She serves on the firm’s Executive and Pro Bono Committees and co-chairs our national Women’s Forum. As our chief diversity officer, Amaryah founded the firm’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging Partner Committee and our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging Roundtable, all in an effort to ensure that women and minorities are represented and equally contributing to the firm’s governance committees and client engagements. She works daily with the firm’s director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging and the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging Partner Committee to develop programs and resources for the firm community. Most recently, Amaryah led the firm’s efforts to achieve Mansfield Rule 5.0 Plus Certification for the third year in a row after completing Diversity Lab’s 12-month certification process.
In the broader legal community, Amaryah oversees the firm’s engagement with organizations promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, such as the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance and the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity (LCLD), of which she is a member. Amaryah is a native Pennsylvanian and a graduate of the University of Delaware. She attended Tulane University Law School, where she served as a notes and comments editor on the law review and graduated summa cum laude.
Amaryah is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Delaware, and the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She is a member of American Bar Association, the National Association of Women Lawyers, the Delaware Bar Association and its Women and the Law Section.
Amaryah resides in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Frank; their daughters, Hanna and Blakely; and their dogs Bo and Barkley.
